Forget Airbnb - here's a BEAR-bnb, as fans can now stay in Winnie the Pooh's home in the forest. Booking site Airbnb has teamed up with Disney to offer the chance to stay in a property inspired by the lovable bear in the real-life Hundred Acre Wood, also known as Ashdown Forest in East Sussex in the south of England. It inspired author A.A. Milne when he was writing the beloved kids' books. Guests will find cupboards filled with 'hunny pots', a strict "no heffalumps" house rule, games of Poohsticks and plenty of hunny-inspired meals. They can also expect a guided tour of the woods, featuring the iconic Poohsticks Bridge, and plenty of Winnie the Pooh themed goodies to enjoy. The 'Bearbnb' sleeps up to four people, although there are some important rules such as being encouraged to have a snack of "a little something" at 11 o'clock in the morning, taking multiple naps, and no pets other than Roos, Tiggers, Eeyores and Piglets and Pooh Bears. The home is built with exposed tree branches, and features interiors including bespoke wallpaper by Kim Raymond, Disney-appointed Winnie the Pooh illustrator. He is the 'official' Airbnb host, having curated the Bearbnb after drawing the iconic bear for over 30 years. The new Airbnb stay is part of Disney?s 95th Anniversary celebrations of the loveable children?s character, and prices are ?L95 a night. The woodland retreat has one double bed and two single beds on a mezzanine level. Parties can include one adult and up to three children. There are currently only two stays up for grabs - on September 24 and 25. Catherine Powell, Airbnb Global Head of Hosting said: ?Winnie the Pooh is a childhood jewel beloved by families the world over. What better way to commemorate A.A. Milne?s classic work than with these two once-in-a-lifetime stays in the original Hundred Acre Wood. A perfect place to do nothing. As Pooh said, ?doing ?Nothing? often leads to the very best Something'." Tasia Filippatos, SVP, Consumer Products, Games and Publishing at The Walt Disney Company said: "These timeless tales explore life?s simple pleasures and in that spirit we hope guests are able to sit back and relax in the ?Bearbnb?, and ?be more Pooh? for the day.?
